Alessia

She started doing competitive gymnastics as a child, then got into wakeboarding, acrobatics, circus and surfing! Following an injury and a difficult adolescence, she embarked on the path of yoga and thus found her direction, a way to return to herself and love herself deeply.
In her classes she combines Vinyasa flows, flexibility, strength, inversions and Yin Yoga. All in a unique and creative way to explore every possibility of the body with respect, creativity and love.

What do you have for breakfast in the morning?

If I have it, coffee is a must.

What is the first thing you do every morning to start your day the best way?

I open the window and look to the sea! If the sun is out, I take a few moments to sit still with my eyes closed and feel it caressing my face - if it's not, I mumble a bit.

What would you write on a billboard in the centre of your city?

Smile, it's free.

Do you have rituals that help you feel more confident with yourself?

Taking care of my body and dedicating a few hours to self-care: a nice shower, nails, full body scrub, skin care. Of course moving my body and standing on my head too! But tidiness and cleanliness, both of the space I live in and of my body are the top to make me feel safe and light!

What comes to your mind when you think of the word ‘success’?

An island, waves, a group of friends and summer 365 days a year. Lliving in a bikini and in touch with the rhythms of nature!

If you were invited to speak at a conference and you didn't have to talk about your work, what would you talk about?

If it was a discussion I would focus it on how to change and improve education in compulsory schools.

Is there anything you believe in that other people find crazy?

Making your own work.

What human characteristic most appeals to you?

The ability to listen with presence and attention.

Three people you would invite for dinner if you had the chance and why.

Kay Lenny to be more motivated to train and surf, Patanjali to understand the history of yoga a little better before him and Bruce Nauman or Robert Rauschemberg to comment on modern art.

Do you tend to choose courage or comfort?

Courage, always. Sometimes it takes a while to find it but it always takes over.

If you could change your job for a day, what would you become?

A singer or performer, like J. Lo.

Do you have any favourite podcasts? Which ones would you suggest?

I used to listen to a lot of them a few years ago but since I have less time I always listen to "The School Of Greatness" by Lewis Howes - phenomenal!

Describe your practice in three words.

Spontaneous, dynamic, and fun!.
